Free Baltimore Concert Round Up

 Wanna rock? Want to not spend an arm and a leg? There is plenty of live music to check out this summer FOR FREE.

First Thursday Concerts – hosted by WTMD in West Mt. Vernon park (just look for the monument, listen for the music). The concerts start at 5:30PM and goes until about 8:45PM. You can bring your own blankets, chairs, food and drinks. Warning – it does get packed quickly, so if you want a prime seat, get there early. If not, by the end of the evening, everyone is standing and socializing in the great outdoors of Baltimore City. You can check out the tunes of those playing and more details here:

Artscape – On July 19th-21st, Baltimore will host America’s largest free arts festival, featuring 150+ fine artists, fashion designers, craftspeople, visual art exhibits, performing arts including dance, opera, theater, film, experimental music, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, family events, many food vendors and of course FREE LIVE CONCERTS on outdoor stages. You can find the full line-up for all 3 music stages here: I am personally most excited about Jukebox the Ghost playing at 4:30PM on Saturday on the Wells Fargo Main Stage.

Friday Night Live – hosted by Power Plant Live, every Friday. Music usually starts around 8 or 9PM, but Miller Lite Specials go from 4-7PM for $2. The lineup is quite an eclectic mix, from local bands to cover bands to large nationally touring bands. Here is the lineup for the summer:

7/5 – 80s party with the Reagan Years

7/1 – Yacht Rock Revue

7/19 – Go Go Gadget

7/26 – Buckcherry

8/2 – Pietasters

8/9 – Matt & Kim (most excited about this!!)

8/16 – Burnt Sienna
