My husband (oooo still feels weird) and I recently made a trip out to San Diego to watch an old friend get married! While I love me some Baltimore, I love traveling and a good adventure. We decided to make a long weekend out of it. Here are some photos from our trip.
Elevator sign at the hotel we stayed at the first 2 nights.
Mimosa sampler at Zanzibar in the Gaslamp Quarter, twist my arm. Peach, raspberry, guava, passion fruit and more!
And then this drives by?? Life is complete.
We were able to wander Balboa park between the ceremony and reception.
Hello turtles in Balboa Park.
More turtles! Not quite as large.
The cocktail hour was held under this beautiful pergola in the garden, complete with koi fish!
Perfect flowers at the wedding.
Congrats to Thad & Laura! Here is their first dance.
Beautiful outside reception at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park.
Loved the bike racks in San Diego.
Goodbye to our hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter, onto an AirBNB place in Mission Bay.
Ocean Beach, a wonderful hippie beach town
Fish Tacos at Oscar’s in Ocean Beach. Life changing for Chris.
Yours truly on the Ocean Beach pier
His and Hers, shoes off, feet in the sand
Wonderful graffiti in Ocean Beach
His and Hers Margaritas, at the highly recommended South Beach Bar & Grill in Ocean Beach
Once we arrived in Mission Bay, we took the rental bikes and headed to Pacific Beach
From there we biked to Mission Beach, stopping at the Mission for breakfast. Here is everything I would ever want in a meal. Heaven.
After Breakfast, there was a much needed walk on the boardwalk.
Love me a good succulent.
So many awesome piers in San Diego.
We also took a little trip north to The Stone Brewery in Escondido. I wish I had some pictures to share but I was so in awe with how gorgeous it was that I was fully enjoying it (and all the delicious brews!). A must visit if you are visiting and have access to a car!
Next up on the travel list: Italy!
