Check Out Charm City: November Guide

Hello there, BS in BMORE here. Holy guacamole, when on earth did it become November? Yes, the day after October, but really, I am mentally still in the summertime. Time to reel myself in because November is the best month of the year, obviously. The coolest people were born this month (cough cough yours truly), you get to feast with family members and it is totally acceptable to start hibernating on your couch because it is soooo cold out. But let’s be real, there are far too many great things happening around Baltimore this month to do that, at least wait to hibernate until say, January. Here is a taste of what this month will bring you:
Thursday, November 6th – Go get yourself some of the best cocktails (from Rye) at one of the coolest places in town (The Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory). I may be biased because my husband proposed to me there, but it is a truly special place that deserves to be celebrated. The mixologists from Rye will be showcasing plants and flowers that can be found in the Conservatory.

Saturday, November 8th – Do you like Oysters, Music and Beer? Then what are you waiting for? Oh yes, you’re waiting for Saturday to head to the Oy Fest at Union Brewery.

Monday, November 10th – Looking for some tunes to get you over your Monday blues? Go on over to Ram’s Head Live to listen to Lake Street Dive. Her voice goes down so smooth. (10 points to whoever gets that reference.)

Friday, November 14th – Besides saying “Happy Birthday” to MEEEE. Head over to the Ottobar in Remington to rock the f out with Jukebox the Ghost. Nothing gets me going like some piano rock.

Sunday, November 16th – After a long weekend of not treating your body quite right, fix it by attending Bend & Brunch. M. Power Yoga collaborates with Of Love & Regret for a 1 hour yoga class followed by an all-you-can-eat brunch. 2 of my favorite things in one event.
Sunday, November 16th – So maybe bending isn’t your thing and wings are more of it. Do not fret. Mother’s is hosting their annual Charm City Wing Wars. Find the best wing in Baltimore and be sure to report back.
Wednesday, November 26th – I get why people say Thanksgiving Eve is the “biggest party night of the year” because everyone is back in town, but I don’t respect getting hungover for the biggest eating day of the year. Nonetheless, if you are gonna party, I would recommend heading to Rams Head Live to celebrate with The Bridge for their annual Funksgiving. Literally an event where everyone gets back together.
Saturday, November 29th – And to wrap up the month with a bang, despite the concerns of it not happening, the lights will INDEED be coming on in Hampden the Saturday after Thanksgiving. So come on over to my hood and take it all in. It is truly a miracle on 34th street.
